Priest-in-Charge

Father Randy Haycock ended his pastorial time with Holy Trinity on September 1, 2007, as Priest-in-Charge.  He came to Holy Trinity in September of 2002 to help lead the parish through the interim process after a 28 year long pastorate had concluded.  Only a couple of months into his time with us, he was called to active duty with the Army Reserves and spent the next 18 months at Ft. McCoy in Wisconsin.  After his return the parish continued on the interim process and during his last year with Holy Trinity Fr. Haycock had been full time in a Chaplain program at Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago and part-time at Holy Trinity.  At the conclusion of the chaplain program Fr. Haycock returned to Ft. McCoy full time with the Army.  Our Search Committee has been in the search process for many months and with our prayers, continue with the interviewing and selection process toward an end of the call of a new Priest to lead the parish in the next chapter of our journey.

Currently we welcome The Rev. Thomas Lamb as our extended supply priest for the next few months.

Episcopal Church Women

The Episcopal Church Women (E.C.W.) is made up of all women of the parish and meets as scheduled.  We work to support the parish and to fulfill our mission which reads -

Serving Christ, our community, and our

church as we share faith and fellowship.

Holy Trinity's E.C.W. organization provides all necessary items to keep up the Church Nursery including financing the Nursery Attendant for each 10:30 Sunday Service.  We also provide linens and laundering expenses for all parish activities.

We provide remembrances at both Mother's Day and Father's Day.

Our main fundraiser is our Cookie Sale held the first weekend in December.

Polo Shirt Sale

E.C.W. is selling Polo Shirts with the Episcopal Shield and Holy Trinity embroidered on them.  They are very nice shirts and come in royal blue.  The women feel this is a great way to share our pride and spirit about our church!  Don't be left out!  This is not a Fund Raiser but a Spirit Raiser as the shirts are being sold at cost.  The ECW hopes that every member will have at least one Trinity shirt in their closet.  The cost of each shirt is $20.

Rector Emeritus Named

The Rev. Thomas P. Rosa was named Rector Emeritus at the 150th Anniversary celebration of the church structure.  Fr. Rosa served at Holy Trinity for 28 years and was named Rector Emeritus in 2006 for his long pastorate with Holy Trinity.

Vestry Meeting

The Vestry meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Outreach Expands

Thanks to Holy Trinity Outreach the Belvidere Community will be warmer.  We have opened a Coat Closet to provide a warm coat to anyone who needs it!  The Closet is open during October, November and December. .  We're now accepting clean coats of all sizes.  Whether you find coats in your closets, from friends and relatives closets or you find "good deals" at stores or garage sales, you'll be helping with this community ministry.  The need is there -- let's work together and fill it!

Photo Directory

We maintain a photo board in the back of the church so that we can get to know everyone else.  (Yes, even those "other service" people.)  If you see a visitor  or a new member who isn't on the board, "shoot them"  with the parish camera.  So SMILE!
